INSPIRATION

My work is rooted in a simple idea: beneath the apparent complexity and separation of the world, there is a deeper unity.

Drawing inspiration from spirituality, philosophy, and time spent in nature, I paint landscapes that explore perception, consciousness, and the relationship between ourselves and the world around us. I’m interested in the moments when familiar places feel timeless, when the distinction between observer and landscape begins to dissolve.

Rather than illustrating an idea, I hope my paintings create space for quiet reflection and invite viewers to experience the beauty and interconnectedness that are always present.

JOEY is a writer and painter from Colorado. After spending several years living in Amsterdam, he returned to Colorado to continue his creative practice. Drawing inspiration from spirituality, philosophy, and the natural world, his paintings explore perception, interconnectedness, and the quiet moments in which the familiar begins to feel extraordinary.
